Hubbards Cave is a wealth of history! It contains thousands of historic signatures as well as (spray paint) graffiti on its walls.[Cave Vandalism is against the law!] The Hubbards Documentation Project began in the latter months of 1997. These tedious projects can take many months or even many years to complete. Below are just a few examples of signatures the Documentation Team has discovered.

Daniel Boone killed a bear 1817

Is Daniel Boone's signature real or fake? Historical sources place his death between the year 1818 and 1820 in Missouri where he and his wife spent the latter years of their life.

D. Boone 1765 and W.W. Brown

Another curious signature? The Brown Family explored Hubbard Cave many times during the 1800's. So why did D. Boone's 1765 signature appear over W. W. Brown's 1800 signature?

The historic signature of Valentine Hoover his Salt Spring, April 4, 1810
