Welcome To The Second District Volunteer Fire Department!
Second District Volunteer Fire Department Is Located In Mountain City, Johnson County Tennesee. It Covers Approxamatly 57 Square Miles Of Mountainous Terrain. We Currently Have 22 Senior Members, And 6 Junior Members. Our Meetings Are Every Second And Fourth Tuesday Of Each Month At Our Fire Stations. The Public Is Invited To Attend. Our Dept. On Average Answers 95 to 100 Calls Per Year. Pictured below is 2202 Our Newest Tanker we received through a FEMA grant.

Our Newly Elected 2008 Officers Are As Follows: Chief James Brown, Asst. Chief Mike Wilson, 1st Captain Brian Eller, 2nd Captain Mary Ann Wilson, 1st Lt. We Currently Have Two Staions, One At Each End Of Our District. Station One Is Located On Rhea Road Just Off Of Hwy 421 South, Station Two Is Located On Coldspring Road Off Of Hwy 421 North. Staion One Houses A Mini Pumper, A Rescue Pumper, And A Tanker. Station Two Houses A Mini-Pumper,A Pumper, And A Tanker. Our Trucks Are- 2201, 2002 Ford F-350 Anchor Richey EVS Mini Pumper 4x4, 2202, 2006 Peterbilt 335 4 Guys 2300 Gallon Tanker Pumper, 2203 2000 Freightliner FL-80 Ferrara Pumper, 2204 1980 Ford Pierce Top Mount Pumper, 2205, 1993 Mack Tanker Built By Us, 2206, 1991 Ford F-350 4x4 Anchor Richey EVS Mini Pumper .
Our Stations And Equipment
We have recently added a new truck to our fleet. We purchased a 2000 Freightliner FL-80 Ferrara Pumper 1250 GPM pump and 1000 Gallon tank.
