The Shoah Education Project, while directed and written exclusively by Dr. Best with the Advisement of Dr. Resnick, owes a debt of gratitude to the following persons and organizations: We especially thank Mr. Bill Klein for sharing his experiences as a Shoah
survivor on videotape. We also thank The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
for the use of their hardware and software in the preparation of this
multimedia presentation and their facilitation of the program while I taught there
as an adjunct instructor. Thanks also to the math department at UTC for their
patience in facilitating this program outside their academic venue.
We would also like to thank Ms. Tziporah Altman-Shafer and Dr. Irven Resnick, Judaic Studies Dept., UTC,
for their role as advisor for the Shoah Education Slide Presentation. Additionally, we thank the WKU library Student Computing Center for
allowing access to hardware and software in the process of transferring our powerpoint images
to the web. We also thank Little, Brown and Co., Indiana University Press,
and Pantheon Books for historical photograph references, acknowledging that many come
from Yad V'Shem Archives. We would also like to thank Angelfire for their generous
free webspace.
We have a special gratitude towards Rabbi Joseph Klein, and the Mizpah congregation
for their allowing us to participate in Shabbat and Jewish Education Courses, especially
our introduction there to our advisor, and our inspiration for this program by a
Hebrew Poetry course, taught by Rabbi Klein (now at Temple Beth Emmanuel in Detroit)
I would also especially like to thank Hebrew Union Archives in Cincinnati for
allowing me to use their valuable research sources.
After January 1, 1999, Brendan J. Best will take over the position
of website technical advisor. Ms. Sarah Rose Best is responsible for the excellent
website set-up and layout as well as countless hours of
maintenance and research assistance. The Shoah Education Project
is indebted to her fine work. Thanks also to the following libraries and
educational institutions for public computer time: |
