>About the Author

The author of this program is Dr. Elizabeth K. Best. Born in Mineral Wells, Texas: She has lived and taught in
Florida, & Ohio most recently is at the University of Toledo, Scott Park, Campus. She is currently in Reno, Nevada. She has been involved over the past twenty years in areas of research on death and dying. Her current interests include The Church and Shoah, Children and the Shoah, and the disintegration of the person during shoah in both victims and persecutors.


Our advisor, Dr. Irven Resnick at University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, is head of Judaic Studies and has hosted a recent national conference on the holocaust. Other interests include Church History/Fathers and the fabric of anti-semitism in the Church. Dr. Resnick has also taught in the Chattanooga Jewish Federation's Community Education Program.

Sarah and Brendan Best, Dr. Best's children have both acted as programmers and website designers for the Shoah site. Sarah is currently 23 and attends Tyndale College in Michigan and is majoring in Christian Studies, and plans to continue in Hebrew, Greek and Theology. She is actively involved in Sign Language Ministries. Brendan is active in website design and his classical music interests including his own site at themusic.cjb.net.
