Voices from Shoah |
Genesis 4:10
"What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground..."
Welcome to the Shoah Education Project, an effort at educating the
public, and the church about the shoah, or holocaust. All have heard of the holocaust, only a few
comprehend.its.lessons.
Few survivors remain, only a few eyewitnesses, and as they age, we lose the critical eyewitness that makes historical accounts pale. The word "Shoah" is the Hebrew word for gale, or violent storm indicating the
turbulent and angry waters of death and pain and grief, that did indeed reach every shore. The shores of every nation are still touched by Shoah. Survivors live wounded lives and we are in one sense or another, children of the Shoah. This "Shoah Education Project" is attempt to change hearts, to change perspectives, to make us all far more than tolerant of each other. Both the persons who tormented and persecuted,
and the persons who were victimized and suffered, were intially, persons just like us. This program was designed to teach shoah education in the church and synagogue, but is adaptable for all uses.
