Income was derived from concert giving and commisioned works, but he did retain a 'Koncertmeister' and 'Chamber Composer' position (respectively), along with some private piano lessons.
Major Work(s): Best known for his chamber works: Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, and Sonata in C(k. 545); operas: Le Nozzi di Figaro, Don Giovanni(1787), Die Zaberflöte; the symphonies: #25, #40, #41(Jupiter), and the Requiem (which he himself never finished).

Facts:
Mozart was influenced (musically) by Johann Christian Bach, and was a very good friend of Haydn. He even met with Beethoven before the latter became famous.
