In the rich history of the World Wrestling Federation, no superstar has been more deranged than Mankind. He's also gifted in the regard that he apparently feels little if any pain, as was evidenced in his Hell in the Cell Match last year with the Undertaker. Recently, Mankind defeated the Rock for the Federation Championship. For Foley, it was a dream come true. Ever since he was a boy growing up on Long Island, Foley wanted to become the Champion.

At the Rumble, though, Mankind lost the belt to the Rock in an "I Quit" Match. Although he was rendered a bloody mess, Mankind nevertheless persisted. His persistence paid off several days after the Rumble when he reclaimed the Championship from "The Great One" in a match inside an empty arena.
