1/100 VF-1 Battroid by Arii

Well, what can I say. Compare the box to the finished product. (Yes, I know they're not the same model, but they have the basic same design) Don't look much alike, do they? Well, what can you expect. It has a two piece torso, meaning not so hot detail. Extensive movement with poly caps, but poly cops are ancient. The hot thing now is soft plastic joints. I've used both, and I very much prefer the soft plastic. Easier to work with, less hassle. The gunpod is pathetic. The hands are two piece, with a hole in the right one to accomadate a gunpod. Also ancient. These molds, as were all Macross injection molds for the 15th anniversary, are the exact same as the ones used back in the eighties. All in all, cheap childrens toy looking model, but good model fodder. Comes with a PVC figure, but that is also a piece of crap.

Average price: 5 bucks.

Don't let people fool you with shouts of "Rare," and trying to get you to pay 10 or 12 dollars for one kit. These were the most distributed kits, and got into the hands of people who don't know any better. Try and talk them down if you want. I would just go to somewhere sensible, like a reputable online anime shop.
