Just Who ARE These People?
Sam and Tabith have a long history together, true. But who are they as individuals? Here's the place to find out...
Samuel Zachary Guthrie was born on a farm in Kentucky. He is the oldest of eight to ten children, and his sister Paige is currently a member of Generation X. His father, Thomas, died of the black lung, contradicted from his work in the coal mines. After his father's death, Sam went to work in the coal mines to support his family. An accident in the mines lead to the discovery of his power, and an offer from Sebastion Shaw. Sam agreed to work for him, but quite when he was ordered to kill two of Xaiver's charges that would later become New Mutants. (I don't remember who they were!)
Sam became a New Mutant, codenamed "Cannonball", and had a seris of adventures with them. He had a romantic relationship with Lila Cheney, a rocker that the New Mutants meet in the course of their adventures.
When Sam joined X-Force, it was discovered that he was an imortal, callled an External. This did not set well with him at first, but he gradually began to accept it. However, Selene told Tabitha during a fight that Sam was not an External. This mystery has yet to be cleared up, if I am not mistaken.
Sam is 6'2, with blonde hair and blue eyes, weighing in at somewhere around 180(I think). Last I saw, he stated himself to be 20 years old, but Marvel time being what it is, he could be anywhere from 18 to 26 by now! :)
Tabitha Smith was born in Jonestown, Pennslyvania trailor park. Her became an alcholic at some point in her life, and beat her. Her mother, who she once thought to have been dead, is now supposedly alive. Tabitha's father, named either Lou or Marty, remarried a woman named Mandy. When Tabitha was 12 or so, she ran away from home, and joined the Vanisher's gang of girl theives. She was later resuced by X-Factor, where she remained as one of their students. She later left, and joined the Fallen Angels for a brief stint, but came back to the X-Terminators in time to save them from the Right.
Tabitha changed her codename several times. She was Boom-Boom, and then Boomer, and finally shes seems to have decided on Meltdown. She changed form Boomer to Meltdown when her trust was betrayed by Sabretooth, as she was attempting to help him recover.
Tabitha is 5'1 or 5'2, and weighs around 95 pounds. She has blue eyes, and dyed blonde hair. (Her true hair color has yet to be reveiled...yet oddly enough, in the Flashback issue, when she was 9 her hair was also blonde. Which makes me wonder if her hair color did not change when her mutant powers emerged to some odd color such as purple or green. This would explain why she dyed it, and why it was blonde when she was younger. But that is neither here nor there.) Tabitha, when last she stated, is 17.
