BATTLE ON XENA

We created Xena and her mount Argo in 1998. She started life as a mego man doll! Lots of shaving in some parts and adding in lots of others we think she turned out real well! Her outfit is made of epoxy and leather. Her head is our own sculpture and her hair is mohair! We love her grin and think she has that "look" right before she whoops someone! Her mount Argo, although we made a stallion and Xena has since referred to Argo as a "she" He is made from the Breyer fighting stallion. He is designed to be striking with his right front hoof while he is ducking his head to the left as if a return blow is coming all the while he is beginning a role back over his left haunches! Whew! The Duo have been shown successfully in 1998 fighting a large ceramic dragon who was holding Ben Breyer captive. The Duo earned first place in the veterans's division of "anything goes" and earned a NAN qualification. We took the Duo home and did some work on Argo (who originally had a hair mane and tail) We had a friend Teill Larson resculpt "new" mane and tail and feathers. She addes a somewhat darker paint job and we sent them out to battle again! In 1999 the Duo was shown again successfully at Breyerfest veterans "anything goes" this time they struggled with " Hercules" and again saved Ben Breyer from doom! They were NAN qualified for 1999 also . The duo were autographed on her thigh and his belly by "Xena" at Breyerfest. (Authorized Xena double who was there promoting Breyer's Argo! We would llike to find the Dou a home where they can find more battles and save more souls ! As we do not get out in the show world very often! We hope you like her and say with us "Battle on Xena" Its all in good fun at any age!!
