I thought I was doing
So well on my own
Spending a little time
Each day at the throne
But then these thoughts from Satan
Crept into my mind
And desperately I cried out to You
With prayers of a different kind...

Save me from these thoughts
That don’t belong to me
Open my eyes
And set me free
O Father save me...

And when I called You answered
With that everlasting love
As Your peace descended
On me like a dove.
Calming the fears
In my racing heart
And reminding me
That nothing can part me
From Your love.
