Mission Statement of the Morristown Firefighters Association Local 3836

Being professional firefighters we have a duty to save lives and to protect property. We are devoted to our community, our careers and the fire service, it is for these reasons we put our lives on the line daily, combating the hazards of fire, medical first response, hazardous materials and other hazardous incidents.

The Morristown Firefighters Association Local 3836 is an organization formed by firefighters of the Morristown Tennessee Fire Department.

Our Association was formed and granted its Charter from the International Association of Firefighters in April of 1998.

The charter members of this Association and all those joining hereafter have organized:

To help educate our community about fire safety.

To address the concerns of its members and to strive to improve the conditions under which its members work.

To keep firefighters advised on legislative, legal, and safety issues that affect them and the preformance of their duties.

To help ensure fairness and equality in their workplace and their promational system.

To provide support of our fellow firefighters when they are in need.

To develop social interaction among its members and their families.
