first book in the Song of Fire and Ice series is perhaps the finest
fantasy
novel I have ever read. I don't think I can overstate the depth of the
story or the depth of the characters. There are many fine fantasy
stories,
but over the last few years the characters have more or less become
stock.
Mr. George Martin changes all of that with his keystrokes, he has
created
very unique very real characters that are the driving force of the
story
line I was praising earlier. If you have not read the first book in the
series, A Game ofThrones, then I would suggest you buy it today.
The second book of the series, called A Clash of Kings, is a
continuation
of the great series. A Storm of Swords is a great book,
and
adds even more depth to the story. Mr. Martin confirms that he is
one of the best novelist of our time. |
