Wild herbal medicine has been used here in the rural mountain communities of the Appalachian Mountains for many, many years. Generations ago the youngsters in the family were taught which plants were good for a particular complaint or ailment. Most of this knowledge has been lost or forgotten. We have attempted pass on this knowledge to our current generation in hopes that this old traditional medicine will continue throughout the subsequent generations of Tennessee wildcrafters.
All of our wild herbs are naturally organic, ethically wildcrafted from non-polluted areas. Herbs are collected with particular care to both the flora and fauna environment.
Sulfur Spring Water Available (currently not available) Please check back soon.
Natural, fresh sulfur mineral spring water. Many old timers used cold, mountain spring water for it's healing properties. This spring water has a natural sulfur content and can be used for drinking, externally for skin problems, and is especially soothing in a hot bath or to soak tired muscles. This water is collected fresh from a remote mountain spring where there are no houses or pollutants. It should be refrigerated to maintain freshness. There are people who will travel to Europe for their mineral spas. Bring the spa to you. Please email for price and availability. Available in quart and gallon sizes. Email for information.

Wild Card Quilt - Taking A Chance on Home - Hardback, New
By Janisse Ray. Minneapolis: Milkweed Editions Brand new hardcover signed by the
author.
Janisse Ray, known for her passion for the virgin longleaf pine forests that
once covered the South (as described in her book Ecology of a Cracker
Childhood), is also passionate about conserving the richness and complexity of
rural communities. In Wild Card Quilt, she assembles short, often hilarious or

Whether celebrating local characters and traditions, fighting to save the local school, or spending time with her extended family, Ray dares to hope that such fragments—once saved—can pattern a vibrant, sustainable future for both people and the land.
This book chronicles the author's return to her grandmother's Appling County,
