We cannot purchase a hunting license for our hunters as personal identification is required.

You can order your license through the mail by contacting the Georgia Wildlife Resources Agency.

Also be aware that they can raise their licenses and permit fees without notification. Please check with the individual agencies for exact prices.

Hunting Licenses Items
A deer harvest record is required for anyone who hunts deer. Unlike a hunting license, the Deer Harvest Record is not valid for a 12-month period-it only is valid for a single deer season. Hunters must obtain a new Harvest Record each deer season.
Application for Disability Hunting and Fishing license. Only with approval that you are totally disabled, unable to hold gainful employment and that you are a resident of Georgia.
There are two ways to get a Georgia hunting license

How to Get a Hunting License

You can buy a hunting license two ways:

  • From a license dealer
  • Purchase online

From a License Dealer (Walmart, Sporting Goods Dept. sells Georgia licenses).

Resident Georgia hunting licenses are available throughout the state from approximately 1,100 license dealers in many sporting goods stores, marinas, bait and tackle stores, hardware stores, etc. Most license dealers also sell non-resident licenses.

All licenses may be purchased in person at any Department of Natural Resources office statewide.

Call 800-366-2661 for more information.

People who purchase a lifetime license will receive a colorful, plastic license card. Senior license holders (65 years and older) may purchase the plastic card for a $10 processing fee. You must be a Georgia resident for at least 12 months immediately preceding the application for the lifetime license and provide proof of residency in order to be eligible for this license.

Get a lifetime license application (requires Adobe Acrobat) and send it, with your payment, to the address on the application.
