"The Texas Music Festival," Sundays 5:00 - 8:30 a.m. Dave Rousseau has been bringing traditional
country music to Henderson, Texas, and the nearby towns of Tyler, Kilgore, and Longview for the past 10-and-a-half
years. The show is heavily bluegrass (about a quarter bluegrass gospel). "A little western swing. A little
old-time. Not much folk. Very little newgrass. It leans toward traditional. Stan-dards on each program include
at least one each by Monroe/ Flatt &-or Scruggs/ Stanley, along with at least one by a regional band -- plus
a feature I call Kids' Grass, meaning directed toward kids, sometimes performed by kids (such as Chris Thile or
Josh Williams)." He will play casettes, though reluctantly.
