*ROYCE REED is a former NBA dancer, actress, activist, author, model and successful businesswoman. Royce is currently the star of VH1’s hit show, Basketball Wives. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Education and Humanities. Royce is an Entrepreneur and owns her own dance company Fantashique and is the founder of The Royce Reed Dance to Live Foundation geared towards the advancement of fitness and health in today’s youth. Possessing an innate sense for both entertainment and competition, former NBA dancer Royce Reed has been in the spotlight nearly her entire life. As a professional dancer, actress, activist, author, model and successful businesswoman, Royce Reed remains steady in her pursuits for success, never allowing anyone or anything to impede her goals. Royce is beauty and brains, possessing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Education and Humanities. *ALVIN MOORE, JR., the award-winning playwright, talented songwriter and musician out of Nashville, TN (native of Moss Point, MS) is blazing the stage play arena as he joins the ranks of Tyler Perry, David E. Talbert, JD Lawrence and others. At age 24, Alvin is an extraordinary playwright, director, producer, actor, songwriter, musician, and businessman. He is the Chief Executive Officer of his production/entertainment company, Alvin Moore Entertainment, LLC, He has written, directed, and often produced several hit gospel/inspirational stage plays including, but not limited to, A Mother’s Prayer, When The Lights Go Out, and The Hell She Wrote. He has been blessed with the opportunity to work with some of the greatest entertainers such as Robin Givens, Johnny Gill, Shirley Murdock, and Jermaine Crawford who all starred in Alvin’s hit stage play, A Mother’s Prayer as well as Wendy Raquel Robinson, Keith Robinson, Clifton Powell, and Lloyd who all starred in his hit stage play, When The Lights Go Out. Alvin also starred in both stage plays as his most notable and well-known, self-created signature character, “Gramps,” a hilarious, yet wise old man who keeps audiences coming back for more laughs time and time again.

*ANDREA CLINTON is a Novelist, Poet, Essayist, and aspiring Screenwriter/Filmmaker. She’s the founder and CEO of the non-profit organization, People Helping People and has worked as Editor in Chief of AMISTAD newspaper, New Jersey. Andrea Clinton is the niece of Clinton of Parliament/Funkadelic and is presently working on a biography and screenplay featuring the life of her famous uncle.

*ROSALYN MCMILLAN is the sister of Terry McMillan, a best-selling writer whose success has led publishing houses to actively recruit new black women writers. McMillan found quick success with the publication of her first novel, Knowing. First published in 1996, Knowing represented McMillan's first attempt to write a romance novel about working class women. McMillan's second book, One Better, followed in 1997. This story, which focuses on mother-daughter relationships, won the Blackboard Book of the Year award in fiction in 1999. In 1998 McMillan again found success with the publication of her third novel, Blue Collar Blues, which returned to familiar territory for McMillan--an auto factory. Yet another novel, The Flip Side of Sin, followed in 2000. This Side of Eternity was published in 2001. McMillan moved to a new topic, the history of oppression that African Americans faced in Memphis in the early 1960s. McMillan, who served on the Executive Advisory Board of the Memphis Black Writers Conference, also on the editorial board of VIP Memphis Magazine, the official publication of the Memphis Black Writers Conference. Her latest book is called, We Are Not the Brontes, due for release in January 2011.

*TONY INSIGNARES is an up and coming actor and poet that has taking Los Angeles by storm. Tony has played the lead roles in theater productions such as The Dance on Widow’s Row (American Negro Playwright Theater); Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (Nairobe Café Dinner Theater); Romeo and Juliet (TSU Summer Stock Program); and the The Colored Museum. Mr. Insignares has trained with industry greats like, Barry Scott (The Next Level Workshop) and Tasha Smith (IBFF Acting Boot Camp) Tony’s awards and accolades include being selected as an International Student Diplomat-China-(International Scholar Program) and selection for the National Dean’s List; Cum Laude graduate (TSU) Tony also enjoys Modeling, Cross-Country Track & Field, Basketball, Football, and Community Service.

*Dr. John E. Bell is a Surgical Podiatrist and a College Professor at Strayer University at the Shelby Oaks campus in Memphis, Tennessee. Bell also has a Master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Strayer University in Memphis, Tennessee and a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Bell is a graduate from Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina, a Gulf War veteran with 10 years in the US Navy with an honorable discharge and a member of Phi-Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. He plans to release three upcoming titles in the next six months including: I Think I Can Be a Doctor, a children’s book, Blue Ball Syndrome: Why Ordinary People Become Sexual Players, a non-fiction work and The Internal Midst, a follow-up to Invasion of the Baby Daddy. Dr. Bell is an author with RiverHouse Publishing, LLC. He signed in August 2010.

*LEO HALL started his career in video/film productions in 1993. He worked on several local television programs in Memphis, TN. In 1995, he moved to Nashville and produced a gospel music video program, called IT'S TIME. He also produced several music videos, church broadcasts and video projects for local businesses. In 2005, Leo Hall and Leo Hall Productions produced BROUGHT ME THIS FAR, a feature film about a woman and her three children who is living with AIDS. In 2007, Leo Hall Productions produced ANGEL UNAWARE: THE TARA COLE STORY, the true-life story of Tara Cole, a young woman who was the fatal victim of a crime against the homeless. Tara suffered from BPD (Bipolar Disorder), a debilitating mental illness. The film won an award at the International Black Film Festival of Nashville. It also went on to play at several cities across the United States and Spain. In 2008, Leo Hall created LaughCryThinkFilm, the film production arm of Leo Hall Productions. The company's projects include "A LETTER", "THE STORE" and "LOVEJOURNEY". LaughCryThink Film's latest project, COUNT IT ALL JOY, is in postproduction and should be available in January 2011.

*DENNIS REED II, the author of “He Said She said, True Law I & II, Bitch I’, and Soak -N- Wet” and the man that brought you He Said She Said the stage play is the father of four. Raised in Detroit the Henry Ford High school Graduate started writing late but now that he started he know he can’t live without it. What started as a bet inspired him to pursue a writing career. After writing his first novel He Said She Said the National Best Selling author knew he wanted to write more books, plays and movies. Dennis loves writing because through it he could be any and everybody. From a smooth talking banker in He Said She Said to an out cold lawyer in True Law. If you had the pleasure of reading any of his books you know that his writing style is unique. Dennis writing is true to life some of the hottest authors in the game like Shannon Holmes and K’WAN say that he is one of the writing worlds greatest kept secretes. You are able to see a little of you or someone you know in all that he write. Growing up in Detroit Dennis never knew what he wanted to be. *Jae Henderson is a graduate of The University of Memphis where she earned a BA in Communications and an MA in English. She is the former host and producer of On Point, a popular talk show geared toward youth and young adults. Other accomplishments have included serving as a contributing writer for the award-winning, syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show and a successful career as a voice over artist. Her signature voice has been heard in hundreds of commercials and even a couple of cartoons. One of this 30-something’s proudest moments was the creation of College Bound of Memphis, a non-profit dedicated to helping youth pursue a college education. Jae currently resides in her hometown of Memphis, TN where she can be found heading her copy writing and public/media relations company, Put It In Writing. Jae Henderson's careers as a radio talk show host, marketing and media professional, freelance writer and voice over artist gave her a solid background for her new career. Ms. Henderson is making her debut as an Christian/inspirational romance author.

*Myron Mays, on-air personality on Memphis’ WRBO Soul Classics 103.5. He also serves as the weekly entertainment columnist for the Memphis’ only African American newspaper, The Tri-State Defender. His column, "What's Happening Myron," gives fans the opportunity to delve a little further into his psyche as he shares his perspective on the world of entertainment.

A native of Memphis, TN, Myron began his broadcast career in 1994, after graduating from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. He made his broadcast debut at WSAO-AM in Senatobia, MS and later landed a position as an on-air personality at WKRA-AM in Holly Springs, MS. He then migrated to popular Gospel station WLOK-AM in Memphis. TN.

Amidst all his many roles, Mays finds the time to be involved in professional organizations such as Memphis Association of Black Journalists, the Nexus Leadership Program, MPACT Memphis, and the National Federation of Independent Business Persons.

*Barry Bowles is a Film Director, Writer and Producer. Janette Owens is founder and president of Oneswan Productions, a small publishing company dedicated to informing and inspiring amateur writers to explore their literary talents in unique, creative, and positive ways. She is a trainer, consultant, community activist, and self-published author of A Swan Song: An Intimate Collection of Poems and Short Stories. Owens lives in Memphis, Tennessee. She is currently hard at work on her first novel, Wednesday’s Blues. Ms. Owens will receive the 2007 Best On-Line Literary Award from the Memphis Black Writers Conference Saturday night April 28 during the Literary & Artistic Awards Banquet @ Isaac Hayes Nightclub.

Phyllis R. Dixon is the author of Let the Brother Go If… which was published in 1999 by Pines One Publications. The book appeared on the Emerge magazine Best Seller list. She has also written for the Memphis Commercial Appeal. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She has been employed by the U.S. Treasury Department for twenty years. She has previously lived in Houston, Texas and Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She currently resides in Memphis, Tennessee with her husband and three children. Forty Acres is her first novel.

Lawrence Wayne is a writer, producer, president and festival director of the Memphis Black Writers Conference & Southern Film Festrival. He founded the conference in 1996 to portray the positive aspects and cultural achievements of African American authors, artists, and communicators.
