"Without mathematics the sciences cannot be understood, nor made clear, nor taught, nor learned."
Roger Bacon (1214-1292)

"The greatest good you can do for your students is to reveal to them their gifts, rather than showing off your own."
Disraeli

"Science without religion is lame; religion without science is blind."
Albert Einstein

"Education is what survives when what has been learnt has been forgotten."
B.F. Skinner

Dr. Allan McPhaden who taught me the immunocytochemistry (ICC) and showed me all his tolerance and encouragement during my experiments. The following are some of his sayings:
"Are you winning?"
"We are cooking with gas."
"Look! This slide doesn't read the book."
"99% of the science is pain (frustration) and 1% is relief."

The followings are from Jim Richmond who introduced me the basic laboratory techniques of ICC:
"Is everything going hunky dory?"
"This pint is a wee stoater."
"Good things are always followed by bad things."
"Don't do anything that I wouldn't do."
"See you when I see you."
