My Poetry

ALANON

There's a warrior inside me,
wanting to come out.
All he knows is warfare,
now what lifes about.
When he joins the battle,
no quarter is given or asked.
He loves the sounds of war,
the screams, the cries, the blasts.
There is a problem existing,
a woman in our midst.
Her hair is auburn fire,
her skin a powdry mist.
When I made love to her
I didn't give my all.
I was afraid I'd hurt her,
and somehow ruin her fall.
I only know I love her,
not the games she plays.
I'm willing to destroy the warrior,
to stay another day.
