Welcome to my world... be afraid, be very afraid...

About Me:

My name is Sarah (though I have many aliases online - my Harry Potter friends call me VMorticia, my Star Wars friends call me Kat Astrophe). I’m a twenty-one year old goth/vamp, from the UK, who has the IQ of a thirty-four year old, and the looks and emotional age of a fourteen year old.

Fanfiction:

I write fanfiction - I’m aspiring to write something real, that can maybe even make me some money some day, but for now it’s fanfics for me; Star Wars and Harry Potter (NOT a crossover! Even I’m not crazy enough to do that!). I sympathise most with the “bad guys” in stories I read, so most of my stories centre on these “bad guys”. Voldemort was my first - I wrote it out on A5 paper, in hospital one day; Voldemort’s Death... from there I went on to write Darkness Incarnate, which shows Harry becoming the next Dark Lord. After that I started a long story called And The Hat Said Slytherin, which I since took down to be edited when I get the time - I wasn’t overly pleased with the quality of the writing on it, especially the earlier parts. Until last year, I was working on another long Harry Potter fanfic called Draco Malfoy’s Point of View - it’s my New Year’s resolution to get back to it in the first half of this year, though, so here’s hoping.

One of my friends from the Harry Potter fandom told me of a computer game, last year. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Brilliant game, even if you’re not a Star Wars nerd. So I got it, and played it, and now I write fanfics for it, too. As per my usual form, I have taken one of the most unlikable characters (Malak) and done my best to make him into a sympathetic character who people will feel sorry for, in this seriously nasty piece of work; Falling For You. I also have ambitions to make Dustil Onasi look less of a brat... or at least, he reminds me of the way I write Draco Malfoy, and I want everyone to know it!

Full list of my Harry Potter fanfics:

Voldemort's Death (my first ever fanfic... Voldemort's life story)

Darkness Incarnate (I like the evil characters... you may have noticed this)

Harry Potter Meets Changing Rooms (um... blame Lawrence, I think)

A Rat's Tale (I was bored out of my brain, and channelling Peter Pettigrew instead of my usual Slytherin muses)

Slytherin Code of Conduct (just some harmless fun, really)

I Am Immortal (the result of watching too many Highlander re-runs)

Life Debts (an AU fic, where Lily and James don't get killed)

28 Days Later (what can I say? That movie scared me! Writing a crossover makes it all better again)

Footsteps of a Stranger (some weirdo insulted me for being obsessed with fem!Draco, just because of this fic - crazy-person - I'm not obsessed with fem!Draco, I'm obsessed with Draco/Hermione!)

Lockhart Quiz (based on Draco Malfoy's Point of View - let's all make fun of Lockhart)

Draco Malfoy's Point of View; PS/SS, CoS, PoA, GoF (a WIP... the title says it all, doesn't it?)

My Star Wars KotOR fanfics:

Revan's Second Chance (I saw all these fem!Revan fics, and had to be contrary)

Saviour, Conqueror, Hero, Villain (all the fem!Revan fics out there are so goody-goody, it makes my skin crawl, so I made an evil girl... again, just to be contrary)

Falling For You (Revan and Malak's fall to the dark side, from Malak's point of view... will get very dark, by the end)

RPGs:

I participate in a couple of KotOR online RPGs, called Adventures of the Old Republic (I know the owner of the group, and am also an Admin), and Galaxy of the Old Republic (it’s ok, if a bit confusing at times) - AotOR is set during the game, while GotOR is set three years later. While we’re talking about RPGs... Vampire: The Masquerade is one of my favourite RPG rulebooks out there, and the site linked here is a new one made by one of my friends from GotOR. Harry Potter RPGs aren’t so much fun - I am a moderator of one group, which I am strongly loyal to, but other groups I’ve seen are far too crowded and over-popular - it makes me cringe.

More About Me:

I have been through a lot of medical issues, during my life - total kidney failure being the main problem - and I have used many of my experiences as sources for my fanfics. I firmly believe that there are positive side effects to every bad thing that happens... they’re just not easy to see most times. I know for a fact that if I hadn’t had to attend hospital three times a week, I would never have met the person who pointed me to the Buffy/Angel convention circuit in this country, which I am eternally grateful for - they throw a hell of a good party, and I’ve met lots of the actors from both shows (and Firefly), too.

It’s also highly unlikely that I would ever have gotten into Harry Potter fanfiction if it weren’t for my illness - I would have been far too busy studying at school (when I actually ended up sitting in hospital being bored and looking for interesting things to do) to waste my time on such frivolous and brilliantly fun things. No Harry Potter fanfics would have meant no Star Wars game or fanfics, for me... also no RPGs, since the only one I participated in before I got sick was a Vampire: The Masquerade rules game that I dropped out of a long time ago.

I will eventually post links to some artwork and poetry I did during the time I spent in hospital. It’s nothing spectacular, but I figured I may as well let other people judge for themselves, rather than hoarding it.
