Cloudy City, Bespin
Naboo is a peaceful world where humans and Gungans, amphibious humanoids, both live. Naboo has many swamps and lakes, but also has beautiful hills and plains. The humans on Naboo live in sophisticated, cultural cities with classical architecture complete with potted flowers. It is an idealistic world. Naboo had experienced very little hostile interaction with other planets until the Trade Federation blockaded their planet and invaded with a droid army. The Naboo and the Gungans fought back and regained control of their planet with the help of Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn.
Coruscant is one big city covering the entire planet. The surface of the planet is in fact far below the tops of the buildings that seem to create a canopy over the planet. The Jedi Temple in on Coruscant, and it towers above all other buildings around it. This facility is where jedi were trained and where the jedi archives were housed. In the days of the Empire, coruscant was the Imperial Capital.
Geonosis is a rocky planet surround by asteroid rings. The native species of Geonosis are wasp-like creatures called Geonosians. The main industry of Geonosis is the production of droids, specifically battle droids. Geonosian factories created a large part of the Confederacy of Independent System's droid army, and was the site of the first clone war battle.
Kamino is storm-tossed ocean planet in an out of the way part of the galaxy. On kamino, the kaminoans live in a clean, high-tech society whose main industry is cloning. The clone army of the Republic was created on Kamino.
Tatooine is a hot, desert planet that plays an important role in the Star Wars saga. Tatooine has rocky cliffs and canyons, flat, plant-lacking plains, and miles and miles and sand dunes, called the Dune Sea. Anakin Skywalker lived as a slave on Tatooine, and Luke Skywalker grew up there. Tatooine is also where Jabba the Hutt had his palace. This palace is where Han Solo, encased in carbonite, was taken.
Very little knowledge of Anderaan can be gleamed from the movies. Alderaan is the home world of Princess Leia, and is destroyed by the first Death Star in Episode IV: A New Hope. It is known that Alderaan was a peaceful planet lacking weapons and experiencing almost no crime among its citizens.
Yavin 4 is a rainforest moon of the gas planet Yavin. The lush rainforest covering the planet and the temple ruins left by ancient Sith provided a perfect place for the Rebel Alliance to set up a secret base. From Yavin 4, the Rebels launched an attack and destroyed the first Death Star.
Hoth is a snow and ice covered planet that has a very small area warm to support life. The rebels took the risk of creating a base in such an inhospitable climate so that they would be less likely to be found by the Empire. The weather is not the only hazard on Hoth. Wampas, large, white-furred beasts inhabit the same area as the rebel base. One wampa nearly killed Luke Skywalker, while several other wampas wandering into the Rebel base. These wampas were quarantined inside an empty room and forgotten. Soon after the Rebels set up their base, they were attacked by a ground assault by the Empire. The attack was held off until all the rebels could escape.
Dagobah is a swamp-rainforest planet that was home to jedi master Yoda in the days of the Empire. The planet is covered with muddy water, watery mud, and gnarled trees covered in vines and slime. It was on Dagobah that Luke Skywalker recieved his training from Yoda, and is also where Yoda died.

Cloudy City is a floating colony on the gas planet Bespin. The city mined tibanna gas from the atmosphere in the depth of the planet as its main industry. The planet is all gas clouds except for one spot of breathable atmosphere where Cloud City is located.
Endor, a moon of the planet Endor, is a forest planet with gigantic straight-trunked trees. The natives of Endor are the Ewoks, Small, furry, upright bear light creatures that are apparently more dangerous than they look. a Tribe of Ewoks almost single handedly defeated the Emperor's best Legion with spears, rocks, and snares. Endor was the home of the second Death Star's shield generator, which was destroyed by Han Solo and his strike team immediately following the battle of Endor.
