Friday the 23rd of April
Good morning everyone!
On Wednesday the British Life and Culture class topic was the royalty, it was interesting but I do not have any idea currently about what I will post about it. Other than this I have pretty much been home working on homework, gardening, and having a fun time here in London.
Classes are fine, in Drama as literature we are reading Hamlet, which Nora should know. For my drawing class we went to Regent's Park again on thursday and went to the enterence to the London Zoo, we did not go in because it was 11 pounds just for one person! Wow that is expensive!
My roommate Cody will be leaving this weekend for the Isle of Wright (or something like that), I will still be here but look forward to my adventures in Moscow, that should be fun! But look at the AIFS Oregon groups page to see if Cody has written anything about it.
I will be updating this when I get back from the weekend, since my homestay does not have an internet connection at the current time but will be getting one installed shortly. So even though I cannot respond to you over the weekend, be sure to comment about my site and what I can do better!
Shalom my friends and have a great Sabbath!

Week of April 19th
Good afternoon my faithful readers,
The weekend was fine, it did rain a bit so the plans to work on the Forbes` garden fell through. The weekend was joyous even with the rain, this is because it was Cody`s and Martin`s birthday on saturday and Margret`s birthday on monday! My birthday is in June, so I felt a little out of place.
The classes are fine, it is alot different to study in places like Hyde Park on a bench by the Serpentine compared to sitting indoors at a desk! The last Brit Life and Culture Course we talked about museums and the different types of gallaries that you can see here in London. I have been to a couple of the lovely museums around here among those are the British Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Science Museum. The British Museum has a wide variey of works on many different floors, most things are just figures and objects. The Victoria and Albert Museum has been my favorite, having objects just as the British Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum has more art and has less objects from a wider range of backrounds. The Science Museum is interesting in that it has little art and more science, as the name hints at.
To tell my dear readers I will be leaving for Moscow, Russia from May 6th to the 11th so I might not be blogging on those days, but I will give a full report when I get home! It has been a dream for me to go to Red Square, see the former KGB headquarters, see Lenin's mosuleumn, and other places like the Bolshoi Circus!
Shalom my friends,
Cheers!
Ken Nelson

London 4/7/04
Hello my faithful readers! How are each and every one of you? Times are good here in London, England while I am studying over here for a term. I am from a small city in the Portland Metropolitan Area in Oregon called Forest Grove. Go Viks! Yeap I am still a high school student but took my classes over at Portland Community College (PCC) and decided to get involved with this program.
There are many things that have happened so far, and I hope to be able to answer all of your questions in due time.
Feel free to send me your comments and I look forward to sharing my experiences with you all.
