Topic: Past Outings
On Saturday, August 14, 2004, I played at
The Georgian Resort(The Frog)with some co-workers. It was my second time playing the course, the first time was about two years ago. I gave my handicap (8) to my supervisor so he could evenly match up the teams. Yeah, I shot a big fat 92. It was an ugly day for me to say the least. It had been about three months since I had played anywhere (not that it would have mattered but I have to have an excuse) and it was only the second time I had played all year. But, I knew that it was going to be a bad day when I arrived at the course at 12:00 noon for the 12:00 noon tee time. I barely caught the group on the tee box(One group had already started). So I get up to the tee and hit one right down the middle. I thought to myself, maybe it is not going to be a bad day after all. For my approach shot, I'm sitting about 130 yards out and then I hit it fat. I bogeyed the hole. After that it only got worse. I only had four pars on the day and several double bogeys. I missed two 3 foot putts for birdie. It was the worst I have played in a while and it was kind of embarrassing too since it was the first time I played with these guys. However, everyone still had a good time and the course was beautiful and in great shape. I look forward to playing there again sometime.
