| Thrackus Kull is and NPC villain from a Star wars RPG adventure I ran a while back. To make him, take Darth Maul figure and shave off horns, then mix Milliput, apply to scalp, and sculpt into hair similsr in style to Wolverine. Apply another small amount to the front of his belt and sculpt into an elongated diamond-on-diamond shape, and let harden. Take 3/32" tubing and cut two equal lengths, the scaled size of lightsaber handles. Next, cut two thick bands of 1/8" tubing and scrape out insdes until they fit snugly around one end of each handle, then weld in place with styrene welder. Dip emitter end into styrene welder, then press against hard surface, spreading it slightly. Using small pieces of styrene tubing, detail rest of handles including pommels and activator plates. Paint black, let dry, then lightly dry-brush silver and go over with Smoke clear-coat. Take Yellow rod and make two lightsaber blades by rounding end of rod, then measuring out length of blade plus 1/8" for a tang. Sculpt 1/8" long x 1/16" diameter tang and cut entire blade from rod, then repeat for second blade. Sand tangs until they fit snugly into ends of handles. Paint face, neck, and lower sleeves of figure white,and hair and eyebrows blue, then let dry. Go over hair, eyebrows, and lower sleeves with smoke, and shirt front with clear blue, and let dry. Paint buckle black, let dry and dry-brush silver. Next, go over central diamond clear yellow, and outer diamond clear orange. Using point of X-Acto knife, or a pin, dot irises silver. Paint edging around robesand shirt metallic blue. Mix a drop of violet dye into pallt cup of clear, then go over lower sleeves and irises.. paint lips smoke. thin some smoke into a thin wash, and apply to face and neck, then let dry. Place lightsabers in hands. | |
