Robby Ginepri starts off well in the 1st round Davis Cup tie against Austria. After losing the 1st and 2nd set he came back to collect victory in the three following sets. He defeated Jurgen Melzer in 6-7(6), 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-2.

Andy Roddick broke the world record for the fastest serve. He already held the record, together with Greg Rusedski. The old record they shared was 149 mph (239.7 km/h) but now Roddick served one with a speed of 150 mph (241.4 km/h) against his 1st round Davis Cup match against Austria's Stefan Koubek.

Andy Roddick had an easy win over Austria's Stefan Koubek and brought Team USA 2-0 in front in this 1st round Davis Cup tie. In the 91 minutes the whole match lasted the American served a 150 mph serve, a new world record. Roddick won in three sets: 6-4, 6-4, 6-2.

Bob & Mike Bryan secured a first round Davis Cup tie win for Team USA by defeating the Austrian doubles team Knowle/Melzer. USA leads 3-0 now.

USA finished this first round Davis Cup meeting with a 5-0 victory over Austria. In the dead rubbers on sunday, Robby Ginepri defeated Stefan Koubek and Andy Roddick won 6-4, 6-2 over Jurgen Melzer. Team USA will now face Sweden in the second DC tie. Sweden defeated last year's champion Australia.

Andy's next tournament will be the Siebel Open in San Jose, USA starting next week. His first round match will be against Belgium's Christophe Rochus. It will be their first meeting. Andy's coach, Brad Gilbert, will also play an exhibition match on monday at the Siebel Open. So we're looking forward to this tournament already.

Andy reached the 2nd round at the Siebel Open in San Jose. He had an easy win over Christophe Rochus (6-4, 6-2) and hit 16 aces in the match. In the next round he well face another Belgian player, Kristof Vliegen. It will be their first meeting.

And another win makes Andy Roddick ease into the 3rd round of the Siebel Open in San Jose. A 6-2, 6-3 win over Kristof Vliegen makes Andy face Joachim Johansson in the 3rd round in San Jose. Their head-to-head's still 0-0 so it's anybody's match.

Through a deserved win against Johansson (6-3, 7-6(7)) Andy reached the semifinals in San Jose. Both players played well and both players served extremely well. Andy hit 27 aces in this match. This win by Andy brings us an all-American semifinals at the Siebel Open. Agassi vs. Fish & Andy vs. Robert Kendrick. So we'll see which Americans will face each other in the final.

It might sound like a surprise, but Mardy Fish managed to win his match against Andre Aggasi and will be Andy Roddick's opponent in the San Jose Final at the Siebel Open. Andy Roddick won 7-6(3), 6-2 over Robert Kendrick to reach the final. The two friends, Roddick & Fish played three times before and Andy leads 2-1. So we can expect a tight match between the two.

In an extremely tight match Andy managed to claim the Siebel Open crown. He defeated his good friend Mardy Fish in 2 sets: 7-6(13), 6-4. This is Andy's first title this year and his 12th in total. This win also brings him a spot higher on the ATP ranking. He's back in 2nd place now.

Andy's next tournament will be the Kroger St. Jude in Memphis, Tennessee. Andy lost the final last year to Taylor Dent. We'll see if he will be able to reach the final again this year.

Andy will play Todd Martin in the first round of the Kroger St. Jude tournament in Memphis. Andy was in the final the past two years, winning it in 2002 and losing it to Taylor Dent last year.

It was a tough match for the world's number 2, but eventually he was able to reach the second round in Memphis through a win over fellow American Todd Martin: 7-6, 1-6, 7-5. His next opponent: Sebastien de Chaunac from France.

Andy eases into the QF by winning 6-3, 6-3 over the Frenchman de Chaunac. With 15 aces Andy served better than last night against Todd Martin. In the QF Andy faces the dangerous Swede Thomas Enqvist.

Roddick lost his QF in Memphis to Sweden's Thomas Enqvist in 2 sets: 7-6(8), 6-3. Enqvist will now play Kiefer in the semis.

Andy will play Dutchman John van Lottum in the first round of the Franklin Templeton Classic in Scottsdale. Van Lottum played well in the Challengers this year, reaching 4 finals and winning 2 of those. So it can be a nice match coming up.
