Important Note:

I'm NOT selling nothing. I just like to get in contact with other real Mr.Jarre admirers. Project status is "working".

Technical Info:

Instead of the usual analog capture, the satellite DVB-Stream was captured directly in DIGITAL via SCSI interface using a great Nokia Mediamaster equipped with the DVB2000 firmware. So what we have now is the original mpeg2 stream that was transmitted over the satellite :) This is the information about the final (non post-processed) mpeg stream:

Stream type: MPEG-2 MP@ML CBR
Resolution: 720*576
Aspect ratio: 4:3 Generic
Framerate: 25.00
Nom. bitrate: 5460000 Bit/Sec
VBV buffer size: 112
Constrained param. flag: No
Chroma format: 4:2:0
DCT precision: 8
Pic. structure: Frame
Field topfirst: Yes
DCT type: Field
Quantscale: Nonlinear
Scan type: ZigZag
Frame type: Interlaced

The final result is good, the video quality of the "Making Of 12DOTS" is better than Akropolis concert (that was also MONO!). This because of the original master. However with this data now it is possible to create a cool DVD. And this is what i'm working now: a full compliant DVD for the Akropolis concert. About the Making Of Docs, perhaps a SVCD is enough... I have to decide yet.

For now, here are some pictures from the capture, full frame (720x576) NOT post processed, and in effect you can see the "combing" effect caused by the interlaced source. This is not a problem, just you (and i) have to be careful when authoring the DVD, or re-encode the original stuff. In other word: you have to preserve the original format, if the source is interlaced, also the destination must be interlaced.
