This is a site dedicated to providing any and everyone with an opportunity to play West End Games 2nd Edition RPG. Sorry, no WotC at this time.
Although previous experience in any form of role playing will help you, it is not necessary to join our club. If you have never played a role playing game before, please take a moment and click here for an explanation of what a "RPG" is.
If you have never played West End Games 2nd Edition Star Wars RPG, never fear. We have people here that are able to help you through the basics of character creation. If you need help creating your character, or just have questions in general about the rules or gaming system, email mail Jedi of Light.
Game Information
The games that are played in our club are taking place after The Empire Strikes Back and before Return of the Jedi. This means that the Empire still controls the majority of the Galaxy, and the Rebels are still hiding from the Empire in between their skirmishes. Han Solo is frozen in carbonite and hanging on Jaba's wall. The Rebellion is growing, but it could still be quelled if the Empire were to ever gain a decisive victory. The galaxy is very tense and there is a large undercurrent of independents ranging from the questionable to the outright illegal.
To see a list of character currently being played in the games of the Star Wars RPG Club, please check out our Character List.
Site Rules
Before you decide to join any of the games in our club, please take a minute to examine the rules for our site. You might want to check back from time to time as some of these rules may change and/or new rules may be added.
The Gamemasters have total control of there games. They reserve the right to make any rulings that they choose, even if it seems to contradict what is published in the rule book. What ever they say goes. However, if you feel that your Gamemaster is treating you unfairly, you mail email Jedi of Light. He will review your claim and act as a moderator between you and your Gamemaster. His decision is final and absolute.
All characters must be created using the rules found in West End Games (WEG) Star Wars Role Playing Game 2nd Edition. Players may feel free to create characters using alien species other then those listed, but must be prepared to provide their Gamemaster with the game stats for their desired race before submitting their character. The Gamemaster has the final say in whether to allow an alien race into their game, regardless of whether or not it is an official WEG alien race.
You must receive specific permission from your Gamemaster before you can submit a Jedi or force sensitive character. You must also create a good background for any force sensitive character (whether or not they are Jedi). Force sensitive are considerably more difficult to play, and as such should require a great deal more time in their development. While there is no length requirement for the background, it will be judged on its content. Force sensitive characters that have a week background will most likely be rejected. (The Gamemaster will often give some feedback on how to make the background better and may work with the player to get it at an acceptable level.) If you need help with a background for any type of character, you can email Jedi of Light.
You must keep all Out Of Character (OOC) and In Character (IC) information separate. This means that just because you as a player know something, doesn't mean that your character would know it. For example, you might know that the Rebel Alliance eventually takes control of Coruscant, but your character would not. Players may be penalized for using OOC info for IC info. These penalties may be anything from a warning, to being removed from the game. The level of punishment is dependant on the level of infraction and is up to the Gamemaster.
Above all, you should have fun! If you are not enjoying your game, please talk to your Gamemaster. The goal of this club is for everyone to enjoy themselves. If there is a type of game that you want to play in, but is not listed in the current games, then email Jedi of Light and discuss it with him. Try not to get so caught up in the number crunching of the game that it ends up not being fun. Remember, in the Star Wars universe, anything can happen -- and it usually does.
