Education Programs

The Gianna Centre offers youth focused education programmes on relationships, reproduction, sexuality and abortion. Suitable for schools and youth groups these programs provide information that is age appropriate, factual and medically accurate, challenging adolescents to make healthy lifestyle choices. 

Professional Development

Counselling training for those in 'helping' roles. Pregnancy issues education for health and welfare professionals. 

Parenting support and education

Support and education for new mums throughout pregnancy and in the early months. Referral and linkages to community organisations. 

Post-abortion support

A large number of women suffer emotional trauma after an abortion, sometimes many months or even years after the event.

At the Gianna Centre we understand that there are many circumstances that have lead women to this decision and we offer non judgemental, compassionate care for those suffering after an abortion.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Gianna Centre relies heavily on the support and work of many volunteers in provision of education and counselling services but also in areas of administration, marketing and fundraising. If you would like to assist our valuable work please contact our office.

Pregnancy counselling and support

We offer initial crisis counselling for any person concerned about a pregnancy related issue.

Counselling is professional, non judgmental and confidential.

Ongoing emotional support is offered to mothers and families during their pregnancies and after the birth of their babies.

All services are strictly confidential

The Gianna Centre offers a free and confidential counselling service for anyone involved in a worrying pregnancy or those distressed before or after an abortion.

 

 

The Gianna Centre is staffed by health professionals and supported by a team of trained volunteers.

Telephone Counselling is available.
