Sgt. Doallyn sculptureThis one most people might not know, it's a back ground figure from Jabba's Palace in Return of the Jedi. So it wasn't really easy to get some good reference, that's why I just had to made up some stuff on his uniform. I started this one a few years ago when I hardly had any sculpting knowledge (that's why the clothes aren't so great), after that it had been laying in the box of unfinished crap. But a few months ago I felt like working on it again. So I polished up his helmeth and suit to get a good smoothness and get rid the the stuff I didn't like anymore, so that all the little detail could be resculpted (like the boots, hands and stiches on the suite, etc.) His weapon (vibro axe) is also done from scratch, mainly out of metal parts and some plastic. That weapon really was a challenge since that was the first time for me making a weapon completley out of scratch. After all the smoothing and detailing was done it was time too start the painting, wich now is almost done. Pics of the final version will come later. |
