Rise Above

   This song as a special meaning for me and one of my friends. I wrote it for her when a couple of her friends were killed in a car accident.

The rope has been cut

Way too short

Nothing you could have done; but

Sometimes there is a reason

Like the changing of a season

Time for a fresh start

But the pain remains

And nothing regains

The feelings you had before

If you feel like your hands are tied

Then somebody lied

You can't be completely fried

Not everything has been tried
