Firefighter Aaron Woodard

At a recent ceremony, the Officers of the Moab Fire Department presented the coveted Firefighter Of The Year Award for 2002 to Aaron Woodard for “outstanding service to the people of the Moab Valley.” Woodard is a native of Moab and has lived here all of his life except for two years while he served in the US Army in Georgia and a brief stint in Las Vegas. Aaron is the son of Jacque Woodard and Don and Chris Woodard of Moab. Aaron is a 1996 graduate of Grand County High School. Aaron and his wife Lucenda are the proud parents of Jace,5 , Brendon,3, and Kilee,5 months. Woodard is employed by Grand County Maintenance Department.

Aaron joined the Moab Fire Department in 1999 and has been a very active member in training and fire prevention education as well as response to emergencies.

Aaron Woodard is always ready to serve with a smile and is a great asset to the community.
