MEMORANDUM FOR ALL PERSONNEL, 96TH COMPOSITE SQUADRON
FROM: MSgt Scott T. Scalf 1st Sergeant 96th Composite Squadron
SUBJECT: Standard Operating Procedure, Security at the front lobby during regular squadron meetings.
The following individuals must have a radio each meeting:
NCOIC Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge Will be responsible for ensuring that the front desk is covered and the safety and security of the building.
SC - Front Desk Cadet Is responsible for controlling entry to the building or area.
CNCOIC Cadet Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge Works with the NCOIC as directed.
OIC and COIC: Represents the command staff when needed.
There will be a minimum of one cadet or senior at the front lobby at all times during the meeting.
The front desk security cadet will be equipped with the following:
The squadron sign in roster
Visitors sign in roster
radio
Pen
Paper
At the beginning of each meeting the first SC will date the squadron duty roster and a new
visitors log.
All squadron personnel must show a valid CAP identification card and sign in on the duty
roster.
It is the security cadets responsibility to look at the card and verify the CAP number to
the number on the roster.
The SC will initial and put the time of entry on the log.
All CAP members that are not members of the 96th Composite Squadron will sign in on the
visitors log, or mark "visitor" under "duty".
CAP visitors must show a valid CAP identification.
The SC will log the name, CAP ID number, squadron, and time of entry on the visitors
log.
The CAP visitor will sign the log.
All non-CAP visitors must sign in on the visitors log.
Non-CAP visitors will show a valid photo ID. (If available)
The SC will log the visitors name, telephone number, individual visiting, Visitor pass
number, and the time of entry on the log.
The Non-CAP visitor will sign the log.
The SC will notify the NCOIC, or the OIC that the visitor is in the lobby to be escorted.
All Non-CAP visitors must be escorted by a member of the 96th Composite Squadron or
remain in the lobby at all times.
The SC will initial every entry on the Squadron Duty roster and the Visitors log.
When being relieved the on coming SC will
Verify that all visitor passes are accounted for. The on coming SC will
Initial the duty roster and note the time that they arrived for duty.
Conduct a radio check with the NCOIC or CNCOIC.
All visitor passes must be accounted for, radio and rosters turned into the NCOIC or OIC at
the end of the meeting.
SC will become involved in activities while at the front desk. They may work do work at the
desk, but will not become involved in long conversations while on duty.
The SC will remain on duty until properly relieved.
The first point of contact will be the NCOIC, CNCOIC or OIC, COIC.
