Kar Mining Operations

Welcome to the Kar Mining Operations holonet site. Founded a little less than a year ago by President and CEO Yaren Kar, KMO is located in the mineral rich Croan System, inhabited only by KMO and numerous asteroids, and is just off of the Rimma Trade Route between Sluis Van and Dagobah.

Mine operations center around the Mobile Mining Facility, which handles all the refining and alloy processes of the mine, and is currently undergoing upgrades to increase production.  The MMF also comes with six automated droids that mine and gather ore, which are substantially aided by two asteroid mining units that continuously pump out ore at a steady rate.  Two mole miners are also employed to mine small pockets of valuable materials.

Refined materials and alloys are stored in containers and put in the container hangar, while ore is stockpiled in space.  These operations are carried out by workers in zero-g utility suits and a heavy load lifter.  Once orders for deliver are received and the order is ready, the materials are loaded onto either a CEC Action VI Transport, a Modular Conveyor, a Container Transport, or a mixture of the three and promptly delivered to the customer. KMO is currently waiting, however, for CEC to deliver 22 Gallofree Transports and two more CEC Action VI transports, which will substantially increase KMO’s ability to quickly deliver goods.

Kar Mining Operations is defended by numerous weapon emplacements which can deal with anything less than a full scale military raid.  KMO also provides protection for your order free of charge, ensuring that it will arrive at the stated time intact.

KMO keeps in stock a number of good quality refined materials and alloys for use in a variety of projects such as shipbuilding, ground construction, and more.  If the requested material is not in stock ships will be sent to search for it and mine it, with only a small increase in price.  Kar Mining Operations also arranges contracts with governments or companies to provide a steady stream of needed resources at regular intervals.

For whatever you need, whether materials to use in your company, a special order for a specific project, or a regular, well priced supply of ore or processed materials to build up your government’s infrastructure, Kar Mining Operations will fill your needs.

Materials Available for Sale

Unrefined Ore:

NOTE:  Common elements cost least and orders for these take little time, as they are often in stock.  Semi-rare ores cost more and large orders for these take longer, but small orders for these will usually take the same time as those for common elements as moderate amounts will usually be in stock.  Rare elements are rarely in stock, and only in small quantities.  Any orders for these materials take the longest and cost the most, with the time of the order’s completion increasing in proportion to the amount desired, as KMO will be often be required to assign ships to actively search for caches of these materials before mining them.
