Biodata

Cheah Kam Yen, PMP, PROJECT+

Kam Yen has more than 10 years of project management experience in implementing PMO and software development. He was one of the pioneer team in setting up the Project Management Office (PMO) for one of the biggest ports in Malaysia. He held the project manager role for major projects when he was with a well-known entertainment player in Malaysia which has businesses in casino, theme park, hotel, resorts, cruises, and etc. Prior to joining the entertainment industry, he was also a project manager for an entertainment-based dot COM Company.

Kam Yen started his career within the manufacturing industry as an account assistant and later was promoted to production planner. He gained his structured planning and project management skills through real-life, hands-on experience with the guidance from various mentors. The most important contribution was from the lessons learned from the challenging experiences in his career.

In his pursuit of improvement he has been certified as Project Management Professional (PMP) by Project Management Institute (PMI) and COMPTIA as PROJECT+ Certified Professional. Currently, he is attached to Mesiniaga as a project manager in the Project Management Unit (PMU).
