Ye are the light of the world !

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16

What place does the light have with the darkness? For when a man turns a light on in a room does not the darkness flee from the light?  So to the prince of darkness does flee from the light of the Lord that is in you.

Then spake Yeshua again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12

Therefore when the brothers and sisters gather together the prince of darkness, the devil, cannot stand and must flees from their light for their light comes not from then but from him who has called them. The same is the Lord.

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! Matthew 6:22-23

Likewise if a church body is single the whole church body will be full of light. For the light that comes for that church body comes from him who has called them from out of the world. But if there is evil in the church body the whole church body is full of darkness, how great is their darkness. This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Matthew 15:8-9  Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. Matthew 15:14

The devil can only inhabit the churches of the lost who are living in darkness.  He has placed his disciples in places of authority over these dead churches to keep the people in darkness rejecting the works of the Lord and condemning those who walk in the light of the Lord.

It is very simple the devil has nothing to fear from a person who is not living in the will of our Heavenly Father so he nurtures them making them feel comfortable, safe and secure.  As long as the devil is able to keep people satisfied they will not want to seek anything else.  After all what does Satan have to fear from a person who is all wrapped up in his own worldly desires and self-importance?

However Satan hates it when we are operating in the will of the Lord and he goes out of his way to cause trouble.  He will send a spirit of fear and guilt against us. Next the devil will send a spirit of confusion and strife against us.  Satan is afraid of a person who is walking with the Lord and by attacking them he hopes they will become afraid that they are not in the will of the Lord, allow fear and doubts to over take their hearts and will fall out of the will of our Heavenly Father where the devil is able to devour them.

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. Matthew 10:34-36

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.  Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Matthew 5:11-12

Therefore if there is not confusion, persecution or strife in our lives we must stop and ask the Lord what we are doing wrong.  Inevitably He will ask us to what end is your running here and to there?  Who has profited from your activities?  How many people have you shared the love of the Lord with? To what end have you strived and who is receiving the glory?  You or God?

Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. Matthew 6:2
