Vuitton Reinvented
In 2003, Vuitton collaborated with pop artist Takashi Murakami. The result was phenomenal. Everyone wanted these limited edition, completely re-invented Vuittons. Pictured are a variety of Murakamis in the black multicolore canvas, the white multicolore canvas, an especially-rare Cherry Blossom Retro Bag, and in the left-hand corner is the successor to the Murakami craze, the Theda bag.
Black Speedy
The multicolor speedy features a 33 color canvas, traditional trunk corner hardware in brass, man-made suede lining, and a reinvented lock. The bag became an object of obsession for women around the world, especially when photographed on the arm of celebrites such as Jennifer Lopez, who was the "face" of Louis Vuitton in 2003.
Pochette and Smaller bags
In 2001, with the advent of the Fendi Baguette, Louis Vuitton introducted the Pochette Accessoires, a small bag that tucked neatly underneath the arm. This model is still popular as an evening or casual bag. The carryall wallet doubles as a clutch, a popular shape in Fall 2004.
