Average Size:20-24 inches although uncommon for them to reach this big in the aquarium due to not a big enough tank.
Gender: They reach sexual maturity at 9-12 months and the male will have hooks on the pair of his first set of claws.
Perferred Water Conditions: A very hardy little crab(even though there more closely related to scorpions), can be acclimated to most aquariums.
Care:They will eat the left overs in your sand, if there isn't any cut up some fish and clams and give them to them. They are hardy and a good pet for the beginner, use sand as a substrate. They need a big aquarium!
