Perferred Water Conditions: As it has its Origins in South America it prefers water around 6.0.5. Water temperatures should be from 75-86 F (24-30C) Not really picky about water as long as its clean and inside these parameters.
Care:flakes, bottom feeder pellets, freeze-dried and live foods, carnivore pellets, these fish have been known to take all of these and forsake them as well. experiment a little, but most likely if you drop a few pellets or sink a few flakes they will suck both that, and any scraps left over from the other fish in the tank. Do not just assume they will scavenge what littles left on the bottom and leave it at that, these fish can and will eat a lot, and they need a supplemented and balanced diet like all fish do.
