Average Size:Fancys usually from 6-8 inches well some commets have been known to reach 24 inches

Gender:Hard to sex, males will develope tubercles on there gills. Females will become quite fatter when filling with eggs.

Perferred Water Conditions: Ph levels of 6.5 - 7.8 work. These fish must have coldwater, they are not a tropical fish temperatures of 55-72 work depending on the season.

Care:This is a cold water species, and must have cold water. Also needs at least 10 gallons of water per fish. Can be housed togethor, but some fancy varieties have trouble swimming so shouldnt be housed with faster goldfish like commets.
