Hello, everyone,
this web
site is a free web site dealing with topics of interest to me. I am
soley responsible for the upkeep of this site. It will be changed and
updated as I see fit. If you are not happy with the way this is done,
please feel free to create your own website. If you do so, submit to
me your url, and I will post it in our links. That said, Welcome
to my little part of cyber space. While this page is the unofficial
homepage of Eight Winds Aikido Society (EWAS), the ideas and comments
are mine and not necessarily those of the Eight Winds Aikido Society,
its staff, members, or instructors. The author of this page would
never do anything to discredit the Eight Winds Aikido Society. It is
the intent of this page to be a tribute to the school and to provide
a service to it's members and the martial arts cyber community as a
whole. The Time I Have Spent away from the upkept of this page was in
part used to learn A Diffent Computer Operating Systen called Linux
and I will be updating and adding new Features to this site as I get
the time.
Now that that's out the way. We can get down to the good stuff. EWAS is
an acryonym that stands for Eight Winds Aikido Society. EWAS is a non-profit Family
based organization created to teach and promote the art and Science of
Morihei Ueshida known as Aikido. On the surface Aikido is a paradox. It
teaches a system of self-defense, at the same time, it teaches
non-aggression and harmony with all of mankind. You will not find any
tough guys at EWAS, we are doves, not tigers or dragons. You will have
to follow the links to get more info on this fun and fascinating
subject.

In response to the Federal Courts' trying to
strip all American's right to express their beliefs
I decided to
add the
Ten Commandments
if
this offends you read the First Paragraph again
The Ten Commandments
1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.
3. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
4. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
5. Honor thy father and thy mother.
6. Thou shalt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
10. Thou shalt not covet.
Exodus 20:3-17

Some time ago,Carman taught us a little of "Krav Maga" or Israeli self-defence. Here is a Short History of Krav Maga: it is Hebrew for "contact combat", and is the official martial art of the Israeli army. Krav Maga was created by an Israeli soldier named Imi Lichtenfeld back in the late forties, and later adapted and modified to fit civilian needs as well. Now Krav Maga is not only used by the IDF, but is also used by NYPD and the FBI, as well as average folks who need to defend themselves. for more info try http://www.grandmaster.cc/history/KravMaga.php3
