4/15/03 - I am very sorry to all the fans. But Today I did something that I believe will help the Organization in the future. I traded some players for money. The players I traded were players we didn't need and we need to move on from them.
4/15/03 - I was woken up early this morning, by the General Manager of the Kansas City Royals. He was very intrested in young Starting Pitcher Brandon League. I wasn't going to trade Leauge. Kansas City and I talked for a long time. Trading offers back and forth. This went on for a couple hours. then we came to the agreement. I think we are both happy. We brought in another young pitcher that could help us now!.... I am going to try to trade away some guys and also I am going to trim the roster down and release a few players. Also I am going to go young.. I am going to bring a lot of young pitchers and batters up to the majors and see how the do. It shouldn't hurt the team.
4/14/03 - Well I got a solid shortstop. Not the kind I was looking for but Clayton could work for now. I will start him and SS and move Tony Batista back to 3B. Jeff Conine will go to the bench. Here is a list of players I want to get on this team : SP Bud Smith, SP Andy Van Hekken, RP Tim Spooneybarger, RP Eric Gagne, SP Mark Buehrle, SP A.J Burnett and SP Ryan Dempster.. there are others but I am going to try to land one or maybe all of these guys. it will be hard but I will try. Another thing.. I have players in the minor league I don't need... I.E. David Segui... I will not release those players. If I have to I will keep them until their contract is up. So if you would like them you have to trade for them....
4/13/03 - Today Started out very slow. But as it went on we made some good deal. I got RP Scott Eyre and 2B Mike Young. Mike Young was with the team before but not under me. So I am bringing him back and he should add a pop to the line up.
4/12/03 - I have just taken over the Baltimore Orioles. I will try my hardest to turn this team around. I think we have a solid Outfield already. I will be in search for better pitching staff and some infielders. one of my first transactions I did, was I brought in a young pitcher by the name of Kurt Ainsworth. Hopefully he will help us for years to come.
