knights of the old republic
Knights of the Old Republic is the first Star Wars RPG for a console and it's a great one. It takes place 4,000 years before the movies. The gameplay is solid and this game will have you hooked. Knights of the Old Republic is one of those games you just cannot stop playing. It also takes a while to beat (30-40 hours) which is a good thing.
When you first start playing the game you get to choose if you want a character already made or a custom character. I chose a custom character. You get a certain amount of attribute points to give your charcter. You also get to choose weather you want your character to be a soldier, scoundrel, or scout. I made my character a soldier. You start out on a ship that is being invaded by the Sith. There you meet a guy from the republic and try to escape. That's where the game starts and where your path to the light or dark side begins. When you press start there is a meter that shows how close you are to the dark side or light side. In the beginning of the game you do not have a light saber. You get that later so you are not a Jedi in the beginning, The only weapon you get in the beginning is a blaster or a sword, it's your choice. It takes about 10 hours before you get your light saber. In KOTOR you get to build a party of characters that you play with through out the game. You can only use 3 people from your party at a time though. You are able to get up to 9 party members. In my game I chose the path of the darkside. If you choose the path of the darkside you will NOT get all 9 party members. A feature I thought was neat was when my character (Darth Zan) started getting further down the darkside meter his face started looking white like the Emperors in Return of the Jedi. Another cool thing about KOTOR is you get to use a double-bladed light saber! Or you can just use two regular light sabers.
Knights of the Old Republic is a great Star
Wars RPG. Like I said before this is one of those games you cannot stop
playing. You'll be playing this for a long.....time. Even people that aren't
Star Wars fans could get addicted to this game. Knights of the Old Republic
is the best Star Wars game in a long time. So go out and buy this game,
you won't regret it!
