Slipknot's mad drummer - #1. This guy lays it down and tears it up, and will leave you breathless and begging for more. Superfast double bass work, super-fancy fills, and that heavy bass beat present through all the songs characterize this psycho basher. Where would the Knot be without my man, Joey?
Best known for his drumming in Slayer, this guy went on to play in "that Slayer drummer's band," Grip Inc. Dave's got some mad skills when it comes to layin' down the groove and blending in the fills. Listen and learn, and prepare for some non-stop Dave action.
What can I say? This man's got style comin' out of every orifice! This Incubus drummer'll throw down a simple steady accent-filled beat, then *bam*! You're hit with an insane blast of intense, jump-up-an'-down, in-your-face kinda rhythm. Jose plays so many styles, you never know where he's comin' from. Bored? Never! And to think it all started with an 8-year-old air drummer...impressive, most impressive.
For a different kind of sound, check out KoRn's drummer. He plays a semi-different variation on the same beat every time around, just to mix things up a bit. Discover an amazing transformation of the music from a punchy marching beat to a wild, all-over-the-place lapse of sanity. Inventive and complex to wonderfully simple, his grooves are contagiously lovable.
After Dave dug his 'permanent' little niche in the wonderful group that is Slayer, who would've thought anyone could replace him? Well, Paul surely filled his shoes, and maybe even spilled out a little. He brings a new sound to the group, while still maintaining the fans' high expectations. An amazing replacement Sinister Groove Machine.
Despite the overwhelming and unintelligible vocals of Cryptopsy, Flo's drumming stands out easily - fast and brutal. It's something that kinda sticks with you after you stop the music and gives you nightmares through the night and well into the afternoon. I challenge you to listen unchanged.
This guy didn't really become famous until he started up the insanely lengthy live solos, really showing off every lick he knew. And I know exactly why. I never paid attention to Guns N' Roses till I heard this guy solo...and man, did I miss out. Definitely an orgasmic assault on your ears. I could never get enough.
Unconventional and simple, yet with a refreshingly new style, The Strokes' Fab keeps the fancy fills to a minimum and pushes the auditory enjoyment to the max. Although he pretty much plays straightforward 'easy' patterns, it's obvious he has talent. Unembellished perfect rhythm will bring an involuntary smile to your face every time you listen.
