Dead logo walking...

FILE Y

Charismaville is a town which does not exist - the location in which the comedic comic strip/webtoon series, High Score, and it's shorter yet higher-quality sister series Bonus Stage, take place. These sprightly suburbian surroundings play host to a cast of wacky, hilarious characters, such as Joel Dawson, Phil Argus, Elly Strife, and... uh... a chair. But there are two such characters who have slipped off the radar of this laughable locale. Almost two experts have come to a shocking conclusion - that these two men (?) have been the target of a vast conspiracy which involves murder, cover-ups, Toonzone, and other such elements which make for a dashing good website.

Matt Wilson, creator of Bonus Stage and perhaps the mastermind behind this conspiracy, gave these two characters code-names just before they vanished - R.D. and D.G. We're not sure, but the names may stand for Red Dude and Dumb Guy, as one dude was red and the other guy was pretty dumb. Apparently time-travelers, these two hailed from the year 2010, on the day Tuesday. Their operation was based in Toonzone, a popular cartoon website. It is well known that Matt "Conspirator" Wilson has had heavy dealings with Toonzone in the past, and he is believed to harbor ill will against many of its denziens...

Anyways, R.D. and D.G. first appeared at the beginning of Bonus Stage's second episode, "Zombie". (See below image for reference.) Having met with much laughter and applause, this dastardly yet dynamic duo appeared again at the beginning of the next episode, and the next, and before every Bonus Stage that followed all the way up to episode #7, "Cube".

R.D. and D.G. make their grand debut.

As mentioned earlier, the last pre-episodic appearance of R.D. and D.G. was in episode #7 of Bonus Stage. At the beginning of this episode, we see R.D. expressing some concern regarding a blinking warning on a piece of wall-mounted machinery. While D.G. is far too wrapped up in his routine to take notice, viewers can clearly read the message: EARTH'S CORE TEMP. WARNING - UNSTABLE. Yeah, I know that they're supposed to be in Toonzone and everything, but apparently Toonzone is equatable to the center of the earth in the mind of Matt "Maniacal" Wilson. Anyways, when episode #8, "Recap", was released, R.D. and D.G. were conspicuously missing from the beginning of the episode. At the end, however, we were treated to a horrific surprise - for a few seconds, we saw R.D. and D.G. greviously injured and mangled. (See below image for reference.) How could this have come about? We saw the flashing sign again, indicating that they had been melted. But like I said, they were in Toonone, not the Earth's real core! And even if they were, Matt "Murderer" Wilson was the one who animated their apparent demise, making him responsible for their fate nonetheless. The future looked bleak for R.D. and D.G.... OR DID IT?

R.D. and D.G. die, stocks plummet 11-12%.

Just as Bonus Stage fans had given up all hope of seeing those two cadaverous companions ever again... D.G. showed his blue-toned faced once more! At the end of episode #16, "Character 2", we catch a glimpse of D.G. aside Joel Dawson in a jail cell. (See below image for reference.) It is implied that he has been arrested for stealing creative property... more on that later.

D.G. returns... in the bighouse? Say wuhhh?

As if that wasn't enough to fire the fuel of speculation, D.G. appeared again - with R.D. in tow - just a few measly weeks later, in "2 Bit". (See below image for reffermint.) D.G.'s lines in this brief cameo are: "Don't look at us. ...STOP LOOKING AT US!". Perhaps what he really means to say is, "stop looking FOR us". The truth has been leaked - the attempt on R.D. and D.G.'s lives was a failure, and they are now on the run from Matt "Secret Government Operative" Wilson.

Stop looking for them, Matthew W.!

You'd think that the conspiracy would be starting to recede at this point. And I did. We all did. Then, spontaneously, salt materialized in our wounds, as though it had been funneled there from some kind of saline vortex. Matt "Show-Killer" Wilson had gone back and EDITED a large chunk of Bonus Stage in one gigantic cover-up! By the time he was through, the only trace that R.D. and D.G. had ever existed was their death scene(s), and the two "post-mortem" cameos I just got finished describing. Oh, and he also edited out some music, some out-of-show cameo appearances, and stuff like that. Not sure how that fits into this conspiracy theory BUT I'M KEEPING TABS ON IT ANYWAYS SO SHUT UP AND LISTEN.

That's pretty much all of the "what" there is to these mysterious events. The only two questions left are largely "why"s. First of all - why did Matt "Mystery Man" Wilson censor Bonus Stage? Well, there's an animated series known as Aqua Teen Hunger Force that kind of did the whole "normal dude & dumb scientist starting out the episodes with unrelated antics before the actual show" angle before Bonus Stage. The R.D. and D.G. skits could be seen as a sort of parody of these segments, incorporating references into their dynamics, and - ah, screw it, the R.D. and D.G. scenes were total rip-offs. BUT THEY WERE FUNNY RIP-OFFS! And the rest of the ripped-off content which Matt "Selfish" Wilson removed from our cartoon series was also entertaining. Usually. So as for your second "why" question - "why on earth would you make this website" - I shall answer with a declarative sentence, as is customary. I wish to rebel against the conspirators, to show new Bonus Stage viewers what they've missed out on, and to preserve copyright violation forever!* Oh, and I'll also point out the hidden or highly referential content scattered across Bonus Stage. If you're responsible enough to handle that. George Frideric Handle.

P.S. please please please please please don't sue me anyone, I'm just kidding about that part... really this whole thing is basically just a parody so don't take me too seriously
