"We the people" are a very powerful and interesting 3 words. The force of those 3 words can either make the world or break the world. Noticeable, it is those very 3 words that start off the Constitution of this great country. (A constitution that is slowly being eroded by the powers that be) Those 3 words are uttered in the reference to the forming of a "Perfect Union", "Established Justice", "Insure Domestic Tranquility", "Provides Common Defense", "Promotes General Welfare", etc....
Why then do I see our kids being gunned down in the streets by the same kops who swore upon oath to protect us and our kids? Why are our neighborhoods being bombed and burnt to the ground with innocent people in it by the State? Consider Tulsa, Alabama, Waco, Ruby Ridge, the Move from Philadelphia, and so many others. Why have "We The People" been allowing the continued onslaught and genocide of millions of men, women, and children in Iraq? We've been bombing them relentlessly for over 10 years; simply because we've been coveting their oil and the resources of many poor countries.
We've been depriving our Cuban brothers and sisters and their children access to goods. We've been placing insane embargoes on country after country, and even denying medication to the sick in Africa simply because they don't have the capital we want...Jesus! Didn't we not already plunder that country not only for her resources, but for her very flesh?
It's way too easy for "We The People" to act like the innocent...while turning a blind eye!
"We The People", it seems, have turned a blind eye when we invaded Guatamala in 54, Cuba in 61, The Dominican Republic in 65, Chile in 73, Granada in 83, Panama in 89, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Vietnam, Yugoslavia and so many others. Most who coincidently happen to be people of color!
Why do we continue to accept so much poverty, hunger and illness when "We The People" can put an end to it? Do you know that "We The People" spend over 10 billion dollars a year in the country on "cat food" and for way less than half of that we could supply water and food to children that are in need of those basic, non-negotiable needs all over the world??
For that matter, why are there people going hungry in the worlds richest land? Why do we have over 2 million souls rotting in prison....men, women and children in this so-called land of the free? Why? Becuase, "We The People" are allowing it to happen!
Some even benefit from this misery!!
It is said, that the best way for evil to triumph is for the good people to do nothing. So my good people, don't be surprised at how the conditions in the world get worse each year.
Last night I listened to a radio show on KKFI 90.1FM hosted by my dear friend Chuck Tackett. It did not fail to amaze me yet again, how ignorant and cold some people are. One caller stated how he would fight and kill for this country whether they were right or wrong and even if he didn't know "why" he was fighting!! Another caller said he was proud the U.$. had become a super-power....that this is how we come a super-power; by exerting our power and will on weaker countries. (This is also, as history has proven, how super powers get toppled). They ended up being hated by every other country, just as we are seeing today...even our own friends kicked us off two key committees in the United Nations!
For "just" reasons too!
Remarkably, most of the callers have completed high school and college. yet they do not know the real reasons of why we fought in wars like Vietnam and others mentioned. (That portion of the show was about the cruelties inflicted on innocent Vietnamese by our soldiers). The sad reality is that our lack of knowledge of what this country does abroad and even at home is why we continue to perpetuate these crimes against humanity.
The truth is "We The People" can put an end to all these selfish and insane wars. "We The People" can make life on this planet better for all...not just for a select few. However, nothing can be done unless "We The People" do something about it. As long as we allow those at the top to manipulate us with false promises of prosperity, like pawns in a chess game, allowing them to do as they please, as they destroy the entire world to get rich off her resources, "We The People" will continue to be part of the problem and not the solution!
I tip my hat to all those "bravehearts" who are doing their part. Teaching, educating, opening eyes and minds. People like Chuck, Charlan, Dwight and other bravehearts out of KKFI Community Radio, and the Bruderhof Radio and WBAI...Anyone who does not uphold their beliefs and ideals is living a sham, and of those there are way too many, claiming to be for the people but are actually against the people!
It is time people...start waking up and smelling the coffee. You can't continue to blame everything on the powers that be. Because "you" give them power. You are a silent partner when men, women, and children are murdered by their hands. You are the ones who become the armed forces used for oppression. You become the Kops and guards that help keep over 2 million souls in prison. You are the ones who are shooting our kids in the back. You are the ones who kill and exploit for no other reason except that "....it was an order....this is my job!"
In the very words of my beloved brother John Africa of "Move" who said, (before the state kops dropped bombs on their neighborhood killing 11 men, women and children and annihilating 61 homes and leaving over 200 other people homeless on Mothers Day 1985), "...the Government is only as lasting as your understanding of administration. The Army is nothing without people, the Air Force is grounded without your endorsement, the ships of the Navy could never have saidled if your leaders didn't have you sail 'em and the brutal depravity of police would be non existent if you didn't wear the uniform."
So true! All it takes is for "the People" to say "NO!" very firmly.
"You" are the ones who pump blood into the veins of the beast that will one day devour even your children if it hasn't already! It saddens me to see that you are not aware that like Dr. Frankenstein, we create our own monsters who then run out of control. Even Karl Marx wisely predicted this in the Communist Manifesto, saying: "...a society that has conjured up such gigantic means of production and of exchange, is like the sorcerer who is no longer able to control the powers of the nether world who he has called up by his spells...The weapons with which the bourgeoise felled feudalism to the groundare now turned against the bourgeosie itself. But not only has the bourgeosie forged the weapons that bring death to itself, it has also called into existense the men who are to wield those weapons - the modern working class." Yes! "We The People!"
Most Amerikans ignore our oppressive nature because they stand to gain fromthis mass exploitation. They instead look for reasons to justify it. One revolutionary leader, Robert Williams, put it like this: "...a good man who is silent and inactive in time sof great injustice and oppression is no good man at all. He is no ally to freedom and justice, but is a silent partner to tyranny and condemnation." Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "We will not only have to repent for the actions of the bad people but also for the appalling silence of the good".
I have run into many who dare say, "I have nothing to do with what this country does..." But they are as wrong as they are guilty. Because unless you take a stand "against" oppression and exploitation in any form or fashion, you are for it. You are a silent partner to Imperialism. Are you teaching your children that the use of deadly force is not the way to better the world? Do you teach them "true" history or his-story? Do you encourage them to be blind followers like that caller who said "...I'll kill for this country even if they are wrong". That could be anyone of your children speaking. Is that what "We The People" are breeding, a bunch of cold servile monsters?
Our very own Mark Twain said: "What you need to get along in America is the PERFECT COMBINATION OF IGNORANCE AND ARROGANCE". Twain has alot of insight about Amerikan society and the dominant Amerikan "character". And as I look around and see all this ignorance and arrogance, I'm in awe to see he hit it on the nose! People are so ignorant that in most cases they don't even know why their country is fighting these wars adn yet they are arrogant enough to defend it. Thalk about being the devil's advocate!
This attitude is similar to the attitude during slavery days. There were slave owners and then there were the silent partners who tolerated slavery even though they "knew" it was wrong! On the other hand, there were some who did speak up with gallant force, like John Brown, whom knew slavery and oppression was wrong and stepped to his business bringing the noise to the injustice he saw. Like back then, some people today hear no evil and see no evil. Shame on them!
I tip my hat to all those who refuse to bear arms and kill for the Military Industrial Complex. Even under threats of imprisonment and physical harm, to them "free thinkers", whom are my heroes and role models that wer are not taught of in school because of their ideas, much love to all those who teach the truth, who honestly believe that all men are created equal, who strive for social and economic equality and who are willing to lose their freedom in the quest for freedom.
I know there will be an end to wars, hunger, poverty, racism, oppression and exploitation once "We The People" wield the weapon that has existed since the beginning of time. It's found in those 3 words.
"We The People"
It will be made manifest through a dicatorship of the proletariat. I dare you to think! To Act! To be a true leader and not a follower.
