The Origin of the Pack

Phedre Delauney met Josietta O'Bradaigh one evening while serving the sect on a mission. The two cainites began talking as they approached thier destination. And while combining thier talents and skills on said mission. They as a team were able to complete the mission swiftly and successfully. It became known to Phedre after the mission, that Josietta was next in line to serve as Bishop to the Wastelands.
Phedre did not waste any time. She immediately approached Josietta, and asked for the ability to serve her as a paladin. The question was unnecessary. Josietta had already planned on appointing the assamite her guardian.
Shortly after Josietta's Blood Bath. Phedre left her current pack. Thier views and loyalties differing from the angel of caine, began looking about the territory's packs, for one to call her own. It was not long before she realised something was missing in the Wastelands. And took her concerns to the archbishop.
This missive was a result of her conversation.

"Brothers and Sisters. Fellow paladins of the sect, I give you an opportunity. All of us, weither serving a deacon, archdeacon or inquisition, serve this sect out of the same loyalty and devotion. We serve out sect to the utmost of our abilities, and test our resolve every time our charges come into danger. Not only do we protect our charges, we serve this sect to keep it just and controlled, living by the edicts of the Code. But as one of our numbers that is currently without a pack, I have noticed a trend within the sect of late. Our paladins have been finding themselves torn between thier duties to the sect, and thier duties to a pack. Some have even chosen to remain without a pack, to aliviate this problem.
I am creating a pack for this sect. To become a member of this pack, you must hold the title, or show actions that compare you to the title of Templar. As members of this pack, we are at the disposal not only to our individual charges, but of the diocese in its entirety. We will participate in vaulderie with only members of this pack, and the 4 members of the diocese. We will not participate in public vaulderie's, so that our loyalties will not strain from our objectives. This pack will have the blessing of the archbishop and his bishops. For we are the most loyal of this territory. There will be no Ductus, there will be no Priest. We will all learn of this abilities as members of the pack, so that we can serve this sect in these capacities as needed. But amongst the pack, we are all equals. For in rank, we are all equals and peers within this sect. No longer will we be involved in the petty sect policts that cloud our judgements. We serve one purpose, to serve our sect and our charges with all of our beings. And if need be, give our unlives willingly to the greater good of the sect.
I seek each of you out for this pack, because since my arrival in this city, you have shown me time and time again that sect comes first in your minds. And no matter your path of enlightenment or loyalties to packs, you will always do what is better for the greater cause of Caines Sword. I have already received the blessing of Alandria, and honorably the blessings of our archbishop Creed. As it stands, now I wait for you to reply, so we might begin the process of introducing ourselves to this sect, as the most loyal of its followers.
Thank you for taking the time to read this missive. I await your reply's immediately.

Also called Templars. The protectors of the Sabbat. Originally formed as a response to the fears concerning the loyalty of the Black Hand. The Leaders of the Sabbat may call upon the Paladins, or Templars, of the Sabbat as protectors. From the Rank of Bishop on up, have at least one Templar bodyguard. Many have whole packs of them. The Regent has the largest at 30 members who follow her every whim. The Templars are more loyal to the people they protect then to the Sabbat.
Among the fanatics are those with differing views on all Sabbat activities. The Sabbat leaders do not want mindless drones. They want strong-willed vampires ready to face death for the second time. Only strong Sabbat can understand true freedom, and they are the ones who push the sect on to domination.
The Sabbat provides protection, freedom and loyalty to all its members. These gifts are not without their costs. The members are required to protect sect interests, carry out missions and to give the Sabbat total fealty and devotion. All Sabbat have what are called Vinculums, or special bonds of love and loyalty shared with their pack. The Vinculum varies between all members, but always translates into a strong love for and loyalty to the sect itself. While Vinculum strength may vary with each individual bond, Sabbat vampires tend to be stronger in their loyalty and devotion to the sect itself than to individual members. Because of this Vinculum for the Sabbat itself, its members are considered fanatics. Most are willing to accept Final Death for the good of the sect. In addition, this special Blood Bond makes the Sabbat's secrets especially hard to uncover.

From the day a Sabbat vampire is Embraced, she has certain responsibilities. All Sabbat must uphold pack tradition and practices. They must choose and support leaders who serve the good of the Sabbat as well as the good of the pack itself. They must challenge weak and incompetent leaders as well as those who serve only their own interests. They must perform missions for their leaders. They must work to destroy all the enemies of the Sabbat. Finally, they must be willing to give up their immortal lives for their sect.

Unlife in the Sabbat is wild and dangerous. Most Sabbat vampires do not exist long after they have been Embraced. Younger members are considered the most expendable. Constant fighting with the Camarilla and other foes, such as the Inquisition and Lupines, forces Sabbat to live on the edge. While the Camarilla vampires fear Final Death and seldom take great risks, the Sabbat's basic beliefs lead all sect members to do whatever it takes to carry out the mission of saving Kindred from Gehenna.
