Autobiography

On February 19, 1974, Jeff and Kathy Jasperson gave birth to their second son, Aaron Theodore Jasperson, in Virginia, MN.  After approximately two years of Virginia-living, Jeff and Kathy decided to move to Rochester, MN to be closer to family and friends.  The Jasperson family’s next decision to move would play an important part of my upbringing when my father and mother moved us back to their hometown of Pine Island, MN.  In Pine Island, I attended elementary, junior, and senior high school while participating in a number of sports and activities.  Following in my father’s footsteps, I enrolled at Winona State University, and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education in May of 1997.  In the fall of 1997, I began teaching and coaching in the School District of Manawa.  After two years of teaching in the School District of Manawa, I accepted a teaching position in Pine Island Public Schools.  The fall of 2002 marked another adventure for me as I began teaching in the Rochester Public School system at John Marshall High School.
