GONE TRAVELING...

London, England...1997

Back in grade 12, our school band at Crocus got to go over to London, England
to represent Canada in their annual New Year's Day Parade.
I was in band, so I got to go...(I played the trumpet...yea yea...it got me there didn't it?)
We stayed for 8 days at some crazy old hotel, saw a bunch of touristy sites, and marched in the parade on Jan 1st.
It snowed there for the first time in 34 yrs that year...of course.
We had a blast, and I would definitely recommend going to anyone who has the chance....
Anyways, take a look-see.

Some kinda famous subway station I was told...whatever...it's just some scenery..

Buckingham Palace, and all it's glory.
We watched the 'changing of the guards',
nothing too exciting but...I can say that I saw it...

One of the original Hard Rock Cafe's.
It was packed in there, and a bit pricey too...whatever,
I figured it'd be awhile before I was ever there again...

My good friend, Kelly Clark (nee Hunt).
(front & center, with a clarinet stuck in her face)

A familiar touristy site, Picadilly Circus.
(not actually a circus, but a famous street corner, for those of you not-in-the-know)

London Bridge...at night...obviously...from the Thames River, while we were on a boat cruise.

British Parliment, and Big Ben off on the right (the clock, again for those not-in-the-know).
They were doing some fix-up construction at the time, hence the red cranes in the background.
(look closely at the figures in front too...yup...Kel and Lindsey I do believe)

Proof I was actually there.
(with a nice outfit, and a cold metal trumpet stuck on my lips)

At Oxford University.
I told them I was holding out for BU instead, they were devasted, understandably...
(NOTE: nice tooque hey?)

Inside the great St. Paul's Cathedral.
This place was amazing...if you ever go, check this out for sure.

The Strand Theatre...London-style.
We watched a broadway show about Buddy Holly, was pretty cool...
......nose-bleed seats notwithstanding...

Trafalgar Square.
I apologised to the lion statue after...he didn't care.
(look closely...finger...nose...yup)

Windsor Castle, home-away-from-home for the Queen.
We got to tour the inside and see the Crown Jewels and other neat stuff.
They have a rule about not taking any pics inside though.

West Minister Abby...another big church, pretty cool.

Winnipeg, MB...summer '97
A weekend getaway for the boys

AAHHH YYEEAAAAA...goin' to wrasslin' baby!!

The trip in...
...we were bored....

....obviously.

Wrestle Mania 17
Houstan, Texas...April 2001

Me n the boys on a bus for 37 hours...

An open-air shot of the Astro Dome
Packed 67-thousand in there that night
We had tix for the floor...20th row...solid
Just a shot of the main ramp entrance

Ring-side shot

Here's Big B up close and personal, with the ring right behind him

A couple of brave lads we were...
(me and Jay, down at Galveston, TX...Gulf of Mexico baby!!)
NOTE: 2 mins later we were hauled away in cuffs, tails between our legs...
the pic is too dark...but that sign reads 'No Swimming'

!! YUMMY !!
Snack time at the beach
(some dead jellyfish that washed up)

St. John's, NF...October 2001

Signal Hill...St. John's, Newfoundland...2001
Late October...mid-afternoon...winter...4:45pm...running out of things to say...

Me and the guy I went with to Newfoundland (the first time)
...Rob 'Stardom'...yes, he's a wrestler too.
We're as far east as you can realistically go,
on Canadian soil anyway...that's the Atlantic in the background.

OUR YEARLY TRADITION

One Word...FONDUE!!

Here are some pics from our annual fondue at Kelly Hunt's old place,
(now 'Clark'...attaboy Greg!!)...see if you recognise a few people,
and try to guess if this is a 'wet' or 'dry' affair?!?!

The only action either one of them got all night!!

Warren, myself and Kelly...all a little pie-eyed and happy to be there.

Singin' and 'bevies'...makes for a nice mix, unless you're trying to sleep...

Guess who's loaded? It must've been hot in there or what?
Naw, that's just Simpson.

Foooood...deep fried...but fooood.

Most of the group that year...I think it might have been 2001?

Same night, probably 5 secs after the last pic was taken.

Good food, and good friends...

Quite a nice profile...taken slightly after the last pic...
...with slightly more 'beverages' in the system too.

Krista and I...we were singing...terribly.

And of course we always head downstairs to really get things started.

Uuuhhhmmmm...I'll let you figure this one out for yourself.

Strike a pose Linds!!

A few of our cabin, over the years
(2002ish)

Not at my best....but at the cabin though, so it's ok.

Some water toys parked on the beach.

The front of our cabin, few years ago now...

A look from the lake at our family's cabin (2002 I think), the front of it anyway.
(Can you see my mom in her pj's on the deck?) Ha ha, gotcha.

And this my buddy Stu's family cabin too, from the lake.

Our fort, built long ago in the bushes...
'tis gone now though, unfortunately....aaahhhh, memories!!

DO I DARE GO BACK EVEN FURTHER!?!
(1995ish-1997)

4 goofy girls from high school.
(L to R: Tanya, Charity, Krista, Kelly)

Those are some sweet trunks buddy!!
The day the 'Hotsharks' were born

A group of us at Crocus grad in '97
(L to R: me, Kate, Krista, Kevin, Tanya, Warren, Brenda)

Same day, with one of the prettiest ladies in the building.

And then with my buddy Stu...

And one last one, for good measure.
This is actually BU grad in 2003, but I needed a place for it so...
(don't worry about it, just look at it...)

THAT'S IT FOR THIS PAGE
