R. Christian Hoff

"I need your vote.  I hope that I can count on your support in my fight for Arlington's future."

Welcome to the Christian Hoff for Delegate campaign website!

Please register to help our winning campaign and receive our regular "Campaign Bulletins" via email.

Remember, Tuesday, November 4th is Election Day and in order to vote you must be registered by October 6, 2003.

This site provides information about my background and stance on some major issues, as well as local news and links to various government resources.

Christian Hoff; Virginia Raised

I have lived in Virginia since 1976 and am proud of my upbringing in the Old Dominion attending Virginia public schools.

After graduating from Robinson High School in Fairfax I attended the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, VA.

Public service has long played a major role in my life. Whether it was serving the community as an Eagle Scout or training at VMI in the traditions of the citizen-soldier, I have consistently been committed to leadership in promoting the public good.

My recent experiences working as an aide to both President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush at the White House has reaffirmed this commitment to duty. Seeing their leadership and impact on the lives of so many has led me to take the dramatic step of leaving active duty so that I may pursue public office.

As a civilian, I work as a defense contractor supporting the Joint Chiefs of Staff. As a Captain in the Army Reserves I continue to work towards securing our nation's foreign and domestic interests.

My background and experiences have provided excellent preparation to serve in public office.  More important than my resume, I am firmly dedicated to promoting the interests of Arlington and working with the leadership in Richmond to bring more of our tax dollars back to this community.

Special Absentee Ballot Notice
Absentee Voting

The State Board of Elections has added a new category to absentee ballot applications: Working and commuting to and from home for 11 or more hours between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM.  As a commuter, I understand how difficult it can be to vote before or after work on Election Day.  Now, it has been made much easier. Simply apply for an absentee ballot, check the approritate box, vote your ballot when it arrives and return it - no need to worry about rush hour traffic or being late for work.

This new category is in addition to the existing categories of: Student, Disability or Illness, Business, Care Giver, Personal Business or Vacation, Cofinement, Election Official or Religion.

EXCEPTION: first time voters who registered to vote by mail may vote by absentee ONLY if the reason is "Student"or "Disability or Illness".

If you need an absentee ballot application, simply respond to the website through "Feedback".
