As I lie in my bed, I search far and wide.
The answers to my questions, the answers to "why?"
What happened to the promises you bestowed upon my heart?
The certainties of unity that we would never part.
I never thought such words of
simplicity could ever mean so much.
They flood my mind daily, as do memories of your touch.
But just like your touch, this was temporary.
It wasn't forever, though it was extraordinary.
You taught me how to love, and
then you vanished without a trace.
Like a thief in the night, you stole my heart; and that I can't replace.
Oh how I long for the self-respect and pride that I once had.
Living without these essentials seems at times very bad.
Moving on with my life, I
slowly turn the page.
Never looking back and never going without rage.
I'll say a prayer for both of us and a final farewell to you.
The time is now forget the past, for each day starts anew.
